A Cat Who Had Always Wished For Indoor Living Has Finally Found Her Forever Home, Living The Good Life W

A cat who had spent her whole life outside, waiting for a chance to come indoors, is now living a dream life with her kitten. The cat was rescued by a family who owns a remote farm near Montreal, Canada. They started finding abandoned cats around their property and began taking them in, but soon found themselves unable to provide the care the cats needed. So they sent out a plea for help, and animal rescuer Julie sprang into action.
Julie noticed that one of the cats had a cloudy eye and was covered in mats, and with the help of humane traps, she was able to rescue all the cats and kittens and transfer them to Chatons Orphelins Montréal. It turned out that several of the cats were pregnant, including the one with the cloudy eye. All of them received medical attention before being taken into foster care.

The cat with the cloudy eye was named Remille. She was just skin and bones, weighing barely 1.3 kg after years of surviving outdoors. But after having all the mats and knots removed from her coat, Remille felt brand new and started purring up a storm. Despite having an ulcer on her cornea and testing positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), Remille did not let that stop her from seeking attention and love.

Remille’s weight nearly doubled after a few days, and her personality came out in full swing. Her foster mom pampered her with all the attention she wanted, and Remille started to really enjoy life and have fun. One evening, Remille went into labor and gave birth to a litter of four, but only one kitten, named Hardy, survived.
Remille, who was only 10 months old herself, was so glad to have people step in to help raise her kitten. She kept Hardy clean and taught him how to play. Since transitioning to indoor life, Remille has been a ray of sunshine. She is playful and affectionate, running after feather toys and following her kitten around the house.

In between play sessions, Remille likes to snuggle up to her humans for cuddles. Hardy, the solo kitten, is getting very active and curious, learning to groom himself and play by imitating his mom. Remille shows him the ropes during the day and lets him comfort-nurse on her at night.

After months of trying to survive outdoors, Remille is now happy to be a kitten again in a safe home, where she can be loved and spoiled. Her story is a testament to the power of rescue and the transformative impact it can have on the lives of animals in need.
