Do You Let Your Cats Sleep on the Bed? Another aMeowzing video from one of our favorite Cat Vloggers, Cole and Marmalade.
 
We used to close Cole & Marmalade out of the bedroom at night because of all the kitty olympics and lack of sleep… but then we drove from Florida to California and the three hotel nights we had with them they didn’t disturb us at all!
 
Then when we arrived in California at our new apartment we didn’t want to shut them out at night in unfamiliar territory so from then on we’ve had an open door policy 🙂
 
Sure there’s the occasional bump in the night and we’re woken by the “Marmalarm” a few times a week if he’s hungry and we haven’t woken up yet! … But we’re rewarded with Cole snuggles and soothing purrs at bedtime so that works for us!
 
I thought it would be funny to film Cole at night while Jess was away on a work/vacation trip…. as you can see it took him a few nights to snuggle up with me, but since then he always comes to me first to snuggle when we’re in bed before I roll over and go to sleep, then he goes over to Jess to interrupt her reading 🙂

Former Marine Robert Connell reunited with Hemi the cat after four years and two thousand miles of separation, WNCT reports. Connell’s wife Jennifer says when Robert previously deployed Hemi went looking for him and never returned home. After months of searching, the Connells moved to North Dakota without their beloved pet.

And then Hemi turned up last week. The cat was expected to fly to his new home in Bismarck, North Dakota, this week, but due to the recent snow storm, thousands of flights were canceled — including Hemi’s, meaning it would take a little longer for him to make it home. But Connell decided Friday he would drive to New Bern to pick up Hemi.

Connell says Hemi was more than just a cat to him. “Before I had kids, the only thing I could connect to in life was a cat. … He was like a person,” Connell said.

Hemi, Connell says, listened to him as he struggled with PTSD. He recalled, “I never knew a cat would get attached to me, or I get attached to it.”

This helpless kitten was only 8 days old when someone spotted it on the streets. Without its mama cat, there’s a big chance that this tiny kitten would not survive on its own. So the person who found the kitten decided to take this little fur ball to the nearest animal shelter. But the animal shelter would have to euthanized this tiny kitten if they can’t find a person willing to adopt or foster it.


Fortunately, Burbank’s Cats at the Studios rushed to the shelter and saved this little innocent’s life. She did really well in foster care and has now been adopted into her forever home.

Josh Marino, a U.S Army veteran was in a battlefield in Iraq when he sustained traumatic injuries after an explosion. Josh returned home for treatment, and while recovering, he began to develop post traumatic stress disorder.

One day, he’d had enough and decided to end his life. Josh wrote a letter and prepared his knife and stepped outside for one last cigarette. There, in a thunderstorm, He heard a tiny kitten mewing for help. He walked over and petted and comforted the poor kitty. Then, every day, Josh would walk out and feed the kitten, establishing a friendship that saved his life.

Then, one day, his little fur-buddy disappeared, only to reappear at another pivotal moment in both their lives. Even before he was my cat, before he even knew me that well, “Scout saved my life. He put me on a different path,” Josh added. “He gave me the confidence to try to come back from all the adversity that I was feeling.”
