At the sunset of his life, 21-year-old cat Tigger was abandoned by his human at a local veterinary surgery. Sad and confused, he couldn’t understand why. But then Adriene Nicole came along. Nicole saw his story on the Canton Neighbors page and decided to take him home. She wanted to give him the love he needed. (Scroll for video)

Sadly, Nicole soon discovered that Tigger had kidney failure and a golf ball-sized tumor. But it didn’t hold Nicole back: “Though he has kidney failure and we found a tumor, he kicks it like a 12 yr old. We decided to create a bucket list full of random adventures [for Tigger],” she wrote on Facebook.

Meet Beatrix Kiddo, The Left for dead cat that was found by a police officer in the side of the road. Beatrix kiddo is one brave cat. She did not just give up and continued to fight for her life. Luckily, there are still good people who are willing to do anything to save helpless animals in this cruel world. Read the story of how Beatrix kiddo found a new life after the nightmare she had.

Bea was found on the side of the road by a police officer. I work at the animal clinic she was taken to. She had a broken pelvis, shifted sternum, and lost an eye. This is her journey through her recovery, I’m a sucker for a busted up kitty. She’s the sweetest girl. Shared by kellyt113

This is the first day the officer found her, before she was taken to my clinic. She laid on this door mat for two days before anyone reported she was there. The officer thought she was dead, until he picked up the mat and saw her breathing.

Before Surgery

Upon bringing her in, it was obvious she had severe trauma to her eye. She also had a fractured pelvis, a cracked sternum, and muscular damage to her front right arm.

After bringing her home

This is one of the first days at home with me. Unfortunately, her eye was too damaged to save.

About a week

Eye looks pretty yucky here from drainage and everything, but she’s as happy as she can be

Week 2

She’s still pretty banged up here, but become more attentive and interested in what’s around her. This is when her personality really started to come through.

First stand

One of the first times she started to bear any weight at all. I was such a proud mama!

No more gunky eye

The first week or so we allowed her free roam once she was up. She stayed confined for about 2 1/2 weeks. Under the chair was one of her favorite spots to be.

Jumping on the couch!

Acting like nothing ever happened, happy to be on the couch!

She’s so talkative

She comes around now on her own time, and is vocal as she can be. That’s a female siamese for ya

Lookin at the snow

You’d never know she couldn’t even sit up a month ago!

This Siamese is one tough cat. After being accidentally put in the mail and shipped for 8 days, Cupcake the Siamese cat is alive and well. Cupcake’s owner Julie Baggot was trying to mail DVDs when Cupcake got herself stuck in the box.

After the 250-mile journey across England, the recipient of the box found Cupcake, and contacted the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals. Vets were then able to trace Cupcake’s owners through the cat’s microchip.

This Stray Cat’s Story Is The Proof That Black Cats Don’t Have Anything To Do With Bad Luck

People have been fascinated by black cats for years – and as a result many superstitions evolved throughout history and across cultures. Today, most people in America consider black cats – especially one that crosses your path – to be a sign of bad luck.

But there’s this kind woman who took and saved a stray black cat despite the superstitions circling around black cats. In Fact, She didn’t care about it and just wanted to give a warm love to this helpless cat. You can read her wonderful story below.

About 4 years ago my neighbor started feeding this guy, who she lovingly named “Norbert” in her backyard. He had been mulling around spending time with her cat, but her husband was allergic so she could not bring him inside since one was already too many.

I frequently cat-sat for her while she was out of town (and found the poor guy on more than one occasion after he ran off). I certainly enjoyed spending time with “Norbert”, once I finally coaxed him to come near me using some food. To my dismay, those dirty little front feet had no claws.

Fast forward a few months and I had moved out of the neighborhood to my own apartment, and I couldn’t leave the poor fella behind. He had clearly been someones pet. (My neighbor had seen him around the neighborhood for years. The owners were nowhere to be found.) It would sometimes take him hours in a day, but he would eventually come sit with me. He was still very high strung and ran straight under the bed with the slightest noise.

Another year goes by…he’s relaxed, fattened up, and become the biggest snuggle bug I have ever met. He has so much dog personality and with the weight he’s put on he’s pushing 20 pounds. I call him my little mini panther, but I have officially named him Linux. Yes I work in IT.

Two more years have gone by, and Linux is still my best friend. He recently started losing weight, had excessive vomiting, was drinking water all the time, and I thought I was losing him. Quick trip to the vet, and it turns out he has an overactive thyroid. He’s on medication for the rest of his life, but has plumped back up and gotten his personality back. He’s still an old man at an estimated 13, but still my baby boy nonetheless.

From Keelo and Koda

A montage of clips of our rescued ginger kitten, Koda, growing up with our family’s Golden Retriever, Keelo. They were instant friends when we first brought Koda home (who was only about a month old at the time, and could fit perfectly in my hand!). 8 months have passed since then and they still continue to be as close as ever. Their bond is incredible and something I’ve never seen between a large dog and a tiny cat before!
