Kitten Rescued After Being Thrown Like a Frisbee by Couple at Florida Beach
In a disturbing incident, a young couple was caught on camera torturing a small kitten by throwing it around in the sea. The incident took place in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami and was captured on video by horrified onlookers.
John Laguerre, 27, and Jamarria Wayne, 22, were seen hurling the frightened animal several feet into the air and into the water. Witnesses reported that the pair even sarcastically demanded $1,000 to stop after being confronted.

The couple allegedly tried to resist arrest when approached by police. Wayne threatened to ‘bite’ the officers, while Laguerre was charged with animal cruelty and bailed out on $12,500.

The kitten, which was only a few months old, miraculously survived the ordeal and has since been rehomed. However, it is likely that the poor animal suffered immense trauma from the incident.

According to eyewitness Natalia Martin, the couple were trying to make the kitten swim and were completely indifferent to its obvious distress. Martin tried to intervene, but was intimidated by the aggressive couple. She claimed that the man demanded $1,000 to stop torturing the animal.

The video of the incident shows the kitten completely motionless, seemingly in shock from being thrown into the waves.
The case against the couple is still ongoing, and they face charges of resisting an officer without violence to his person. Wayne was also hit with one count each of battery and attempted battery against an officer, and was ordered to pay a $2,000 bond.
